SO, I did some research and just sixteen years after The Strangers hit theaters, this admittedly well-executed copy, can I say copy because it is, does little more than increase our appreciation for the original films, IMO.

I mean just simply put, the scares aren’t scary, the gore really truly isn’t especially nasty, and there’s very little reason for us to care about the two people running around screaming almost in every shot of the movie? So the mainline thought process here is, “The Strangers: Chapter 1” attempts, unsuccessfully, to honestly and quicly delve into the idea that evil, must make some sense. Or that horror, at least, must lead somewhere.

Honestly, let’s close the book on this franchise.
