By no means am I no expert on Bob Dylan, and I honestly do not care if the movie is not historically accurate with every little single detail. I am, however, a giant fan of the music played in this film in a big way. The music, the acting and the musical performances all are great.

But sometimes James Mangold's singular vision of deifying one musician at the cost of all others makes for a flat, kind of soulless film that never finds it's sure footing? It left me thinking that the only question that comes to mind after watching it is why a film about a self-absorbed completely crazy narcissist would work when played with so little charisma and even less charm by Timothée Chalamet?
