ah god, when will I ever stop crying from watching animated characters doing humane stuff!?
the wild robot was such a fun and emotional ride for me. roz fascinated me and connected with me on a human level. inspite of being a robot, roz overrides her innate programming to do everything for her kid, a goose. roz's parenting arc has to be one of the most heartwarming sequences I've ever seen in all of movies. it's honestly so goddamn mesmerizing to see how animators pour their heart in writing such characters and giving them human-like qualities. every single character in this film, be it fink, or the possums, or even the grizzly bear, they all have amazing character arcs that make them extremely lovable. and to top it off, we have the phenomenal score by kris bowers. oh boy, the background score for this movie is astoundingly beautiful. one of the best scores I've heard this year!!
I was surprised to see dreamworks going THIS HARD on the animation quality. I mean we've already seen them being at their best in puss in boots: the last wish, but oh boy I was not expecting them to keep the wild robot's animation on par with that! even the smallest of moments were gorgeous to look at, with all this vibrant colors that make the wilderness look admirable and lively. and they've pulled this off with a relatively much smaller budget? hats off dreamworks!!!
I fucking loved watching the wild robot. it's a movie that everyone needs to watch, cause I feel this one would resonate with a lot of people (especially parents). god I love watching animated movies so much🥹🫶
