Falling in Love Like in Movies managed to remind me of the reason why I am so in love with 'movies'. This movie managed to flick many layers of the film industry and its audience, especially in my beloved country Indonesia. There are so many things I love about this movie; from the meta approach, the B&W and color formats that have different ratios, the perspective of the scriptwriter and the person behind the scenes who managed to criticize people like that in the world of cinema, romance films that emphasize dialogue like Before Trilogy, a funny comedy that feels just right without losing the romantic element, to the cast lineup that managed to channeling a very strong feeling, especially Nirina Zubir in her best performance 👏🛐
