Rewatched this again and although the concept surrounding this film is quite fresh and experimental, it just didn’t give that extra oomph to put it up along with all the other films that are constantly redefining the incredible new age of the horror/thriller genre as we know of today. The ending lacked a convincing tone, for it didn’t have a strong built of a plot to solidify what could’ve been a well-executed and maybe even grand conclusion for such a unique narrative, making it unclear as to what it ultimately wants to project to it’s audience. I think the only reason this was watchable was because of the great casting — they were the film’s only anchor in rendering everything a bit more interesting.
Overall, I’m just glad to see that Jake is alive, employed, and still is sexy as per usual in here. That’s the main point right there.
