You can indeed do anything, so please do. The best artists have always destroyed genre and medium limits and here you can feel the love that the filmmakers are feeling towards the subjects they are playing with. Still it doesn't feel like simple "tribute" but rather world of its own, expedition to the edge of imagination. Those who are tired of popular culture's continuous recycling and vomiting of nostalgia and old trademarks are likely to find this one exhilarating but to those of us who still have childish love for that popular nostalgia whether it appears in not-so fresh forms, are going to love this one to pieces for it kindles a new kind of hope; that there's still room in the mainstream, in the "familiar", to go boldly to ostracized "weird" or "artsy" territories and emerge victorious. One doesn't have to choose between "entertainment" and "art".
