i havent seen a film i wanted to sit through and find out the end asap of for some time. action, thrill, mystery, family, comedy, honestly nothing short of perfect. on top of all of that it was sentimental, heartwarming and bittersweet. the way every element was incorporated so very smoothly is amazing. and all this behind the backdrop of 70s sexploitation and pornos, and an eye catching, thought evoking intro? very much perfect. a really exciting ride.
literally so funny i havent smiled this much at a film in ages. Ryan Gosling plays the perfect role. Russell Crowe was also so damn funny. this is packed with hilarious quotes i won't forget, and many witty one liners i thoroughly enjoyed.
cinematography was also really impressive, considering i didnt expect anything from this. this film has easily become a comfort film i love every single part of this and i believe i'll be rewatching this.
set in the 70s, i'm in love with the costumes and sets. the set design is next level with the posters i absolutely love the 70s porno posters. literally design at its finest, the pinocchio one was so genius and very 70s. the whole storyline feels very in line with the 70s and i love the aesthetic. + Matt Bomer was an extra surprise here.
