"Death is hard." "Sometimes, I think life is harder."
From depressed goth girl to the daughter of the depressed goth girl who owns the movie, Jenna Ortega fitted perfectly into the narrative. The twist of the movie got me not gonna lie I didn't see that coming (if you know, you know).
Somehow I had more fun with this than with the original, maybe because I understood the nonsensical themes better and that it's easier to get attached to the characters, I still think they added way too many storylines, like what was the point of Monica Bellucci's character that only appeared for 3 minutes and we all know why she is in the movie but she slayed and devoured with a lethal face card so we forgive her husband, Tim Burton, for wanting his wife in the movie. Also, I'm glad they mentioned Adam and Barbara, they were a huge part of the original and I'm happy they were not completely forgotten.
