Best “what could’ve been” sequence I’ve seen in a movie since It’s a Wonderful Life (1946).
I didn’t get around to watching this movie until 4 years after the release, because I don’t like musicals, and the movie begins with a musical number. Getting over that hump, the movie is exceptional, cinematography is breathtaking, and I ended up loving the songs.
