A very cute story in a gorgeously animated world. Excellent voice acting across the board, but it all adds up to something that is just fine. Another story of a character made for one thing, told they could only be that thing, who strives to be another thing and succeeds. You can't beat a formula that works and the Wild Robot hews closely to the formula. So it works, it's just not any kind of game changer except for its lush visual style.
