So seeing this after the historic night at the Golden Globes, its kind of hard to temper your expectations, you go in expecting a phenomenal movie.
Well, of course this movie lives up to the hype, it is an absolute masterpiece and a landmark piece of cinema. The direction is other worldly, the cinematography is jaw-droppingly stunning, the acting is great and the music is catchy as hell. I'm really struggling to see how anyone could not enjoy this film, or even go away not wanting to hear some of those songs again and again.
The movie is so entertaining, so exhilarating, the 2 hour run time flies by, that you cant help but be left wanting more, I can't wait to watch this movie again and again, I may even use this as a barometer judge people as people, like, 'What did you think of La La Land?',

I have a few small gripes, mainly the John Legend character, but I understand why they put it in there and he gave us another fantastic song, so its not all bad.
I've tried not to drink the Kool-Aid on this movie too much but honestly its so great, I implore anyone to watch it as soon as the possibly can, I'd happily have sat there and watched it again if they started it over, its an escape from reality in to a perfect dream.
