A love letter to comic book, superheroes, and spider-man in particular; Spider-man: Into the Spider-verse is a refreshing and rejuvenating reminder of why we love this seemingly overdone genre. From its hyper stylized comic visuals, the occasional self-awareness, and the center idea of the film’s story, it’s hard not to walk out of the film and not rediscover the deep seated love we had for the comic mythos, and the web slinging hero himself, we’ve been holding on dearly since our childhood days.
We all once want to be a superhero. And perhaps we still do. This film tells you that you still can be exactly that. A hero. If you both have the will and the bravery to take that leap of faith.
