There is something unique and memoreable about Miyazakis world, that is ruled by an innocent children's perspective and lets you explore emotions and fears once again that were hidden for a long time, which makes his movies work for people of every age. This heartfelt film is gentle, delightful and so charming. But what exactly makes it "genius", "legendary" and "one of the most important movies of all time"? It's surely not the plot, neither the animation, nor the pacing or the characters itself. I've been genuinely looking for it for two days now, reading a lot about the film to see if I've missed something, but apart from the score, everything screams "solid" to mere here, nothing screams "exceptional".
