I was always going to like this documentary—it was my DESTINY.
It was cool to hear from so many of the actors and from Abrams and Lindelof about what made the show so special for them, and in a mostly clear-eyed way—not taking things too seriously. Fans will love this, even if it means learning that there are even bigger LOST fans out there (notably Bobby Moynihan, who is a highlight of this movie). The focus was mainly on the first season and the series finale, but my favorite episode (“The Constant”) got some special attention too.
So many of the interviews were great, but Michael Emerson (Ben Linus) put into words what I have always loved about the show as a whole but the ending in particular.
I think even someone who doesn’t love LOST like I do could still find this interesting, either as a time capsule or as a set of reflections on the value of a community of people with a common love.
