Erotic dipshittery in its purest form. Stunning that one of my favorite directors (Richard Linklater) was involved in such a lifeless sham of a film. In between dozing off occasionally and being highly offended by the milquetoast pilot costume double entendres, I realized that this is just a simp’s version of 1997’s The Saint (a useless remake in itself) starring Val Kilmer in various awful disguises.
But guess what Glen Powell? I knew Val Kilmer, and you sir are no Val Kilmer. Perhaps Linklater should write a movie with Tom Cruise next time if he wants to allow his star to fart sweet nothings all over an already hermetically sterile script. At least you know Cruise would write in a stunt where he jumps a donkey over the snake river canyon before he has a secret rendezvous with a level 8 Thetan. This film is the cinematic equivalent of a 14 year old whacking off to the lingerie section of the JCPenney catalog.
