what dost thou want?

I like how Eggers is precise with his storytelling and doesn't feel the need to spoon-feed the audience. He doesn't dump exposition right into our face but places us in this dark and grim setting instantly, and for that, I have to applaud him. But what is the most appealing about The Witch is that it's ambiguous, but not confusing. It's easily flowable, and there is no "how did we get here?" or "who the hell is that?" moments, which has plagued not only modern horror films but A24 films in general. But I've said it countless times, and I'll keep saying it, the horror genre doesn't, and never will, float my boat.

Hopefully, The Lighthouse is not only better but extremely offbeat compared to this.
