It’s funny that she’s a traumatized psychic detective who only uses her psychic powers to fail to determine what we already know before she does, that her partner is about to get fuckin blasted at that door, and then she’s brought on the case for her psychic powers and told repeatedly not to use them lol
Can you imagine how much more interesting of a movie it would have been to have actually investigated the mystery of the mom’s actions and wrestled with her tension of having the make those choices, instead of her explaining “oh btw this has been my thing for a while, turns out it’s what you’re after”
