I can’t think of another piece of media that discusses the embarrassing, uncomfortable ways that many of us have dealt with assault or intimate violence in such an unflinchingly honest way. I’m still gobsmacked that the first three episodes portray a creepy, yet funny, situation befalling a seemingly bumbling fool then seamlessly shifts into a heart breaking exploration of trauma, empathy, and navigating healing as an imperfect victim. Just brilliant.
