I was not prepared for The Wild Robot. I thought I was in for one of those shiny CGI, kids’ animated flicks that spits out a few cheesy jokes and wraps everything up with a “the power of friendship” ending. Nope, I got emotionally dropkicked by a friggin' robot, man. I mean, what we got here is E.T. meets Castaway meets The Iron Giant, but set in a wilderness so beautiful you half expect David Attenborough to pop up and start narrating.
I think I wanna pack up, move to the forest, and befriend a robot.
