I get why people may not like it going through both sides, but I thought it was the right decision. It didn't need to be nine episodes, though. I was pretty much over it by the fifth, but it was an interesting watch for someone like me who didn't know anything about the case. The acting was good by the two leads and most of the actors.
]]>Not much to say, but it was fun and goofy. I like that it felt like a tribute to silent films, Looney Tunes, and video games. It was very well done, but might have overstayed its welcome a bit too long. Can't really complain due to how impressive it was.
]]>I think I realize why I don't like this series as much as other people. It's better as a manga than an anime. There's a lot of talking and narrating in it, which just becomes tiring. But as a manga, I'm sure it's not as bad.
]]>Man, the beginning of this is really good. Nicholas Hoult really showed his acting chops. Then it kinda felt like it was going in circles. I felt like the runtime needed to be a little slower, and while she wasn't bad, I thought Depp wasn't that good as the lead. But it was pretty solid, with some creepy and a bit scary moments.

It's a bit out there, but still a good watch. I was hoping for them to show what really happened at the end, but I think either way would have worked. It's a solid film, but nothing great. Hoult's blue eyes are mesmerizing, though.
]]>I've only seen the second half of Fight Club, so I don't know if that counts as a rewatch or not. Yeah, I'm still not a big fan of this. I obviously knew what was going to happen by the end, but none of this really feels as groundbreaking or interesting as people say. Maybe because it was hyped so much that I gave it a lower rating than I should, but I'm really just not a fan of these types of movies.

Me for about 3/4 of the movie: "This movie is alright, but I wish they leaned more into the psychedelic and dream-like sequences."
Was the movie listening to me? Because holy crap, that last 1/4!
]]>It's a bit frustrating to watch. Not because it's bad; just some of the characters felt, to me, very unlikeable, but I think that was the point. It's cleverly written and about as good as "Separation" was.

]]>I actually was kind of enjoying it at the beginning. I mean, the story wasn't great, but it wasn't bad either. It had its moments, but at times it felt rushed. Then the second half felt really rushed and a bit lame. The songs weren't great, and Timon and Pumbaa were really annoying—I mean, more than usual. Overall, it's not terrible, but maybe it would be better if it was animated like the original movie.
]]>Just seems a bit pointless to do a "Lord of the Rings" story and tell a bland story like this even if it is a story Tolkien has told. Pretty much know what's going to happen the whole movie, and sadly, the animation isn't good enough to save it. It wasn't bad. Honestly, none of it was bad, but pretty average on everything.

]]>"Never seen the musical, but I've seen Kristen Chenoweth in other things, and it was like Ariana Grande became her. What a performance by her! Cynthia Erivo also did a really good job. I was surprised by how much less of a Broadway play it felt like than I thought it was going to be. Don't get me wrong, you can still tell in parts, but I think it did a good job making it its own thing. I didn't quite love it, but it sure was a blast."
]]>I liked the songs and the new characters, but the story was a bit blah. It seemed like they were possibly going a new route, but then it was pretty similar to Moana and other Disney movies. It did feel like it would be better as a TV show, but considering TV shows’ quality nowadays, I don't think that's really a bad thing to say about it.
]]>Well, it had its moments, and I kind of liked Rhino in it, but overall, it was pretty boring and pointless. The way they do Kraven is lame, the origin stories are overdone, and this took a while to get to action. Once it does, the action isn't that great. The cast isn't really used to their potential, but I can't say I disliked this as much as Madame Web. However, it and Morbius are pretty close on which one is worse. I'm leaning towards this movie being worse.

I don't wanna live in a world where Fred Durst survives a apocalypse.
]]>This is the Sean Baker that gets Oscar love? Really? It's not bad. I like all of Sean Baker's films but it just felt a bit weaker than some of the others. It drags in some places and feels very similar to his other films. I enjoyed it, don't get me wrong, but I'm just shocked that this is the favorite to win Best Picture. Like, how is this that much better than Florida Project? As a comedy, it's pretty funny; as a drama, it's okay. The acting is good and the characters are good, but some of the scenes felt a bit pointless. Overall, I still enjoyed it and recommend it; I'm just surprised that people think it's the best movie this year.
]]>I'm sorry, but this was pretty boring for a Studio Ghibli film. I was expecting decent comedy with goofy stories and possibly some drama, but it just felt like a lot of shorts from a show that wasn't that good to begin with. Maybe if I watched the sub, it would've been better, but I was really disappointed in how little I cared about this.
]]>This movie is fine when Venom is on the screen, and the final fight was better than the other two final fights. However, Tom Hardy looked bored with the role, and most of the side characters were pointless and boring. I expected worse considering what I heard and saw in the trailer. It's still the worst of the franchise, but not by much
]]>I really liked it, but it kind of dragged in the middle. Still, it was done well, and it's best to go in as blind as possible. It's pretty unpredictable and has some very tense scenes. I hope Hugh Grant gets an Oscar nom, but I doubt it. At least he got a Golden Globe nom, though.
]]>So, Scarface was based on true events. In all seriousness, this was dark and kind of entertaining. It's weird because it feels really dated, but it came out in 2006, so it's not that dated. The story was told right for the most part, but the way it looked kept me out of it. There is some NSFL dark imagery here, but as somebody who knew very little about the Miami drug scene, I was interested in it for the most part.
]]>I felt at times the dialogue needed to breathe, and the animation still didn't look good, but it's still Watchmen, and I'll never get bored of this story. The voice acting also seemed better in this one.
]]>At the beginning, it seems it's going to be a boring religious film, but it turns into one of the most interesting political thrillers I've seen in a while. It really shows how even in the house of God, political stuff can be just as petty and evil as the rest. I really enjoyed it; it kept me on the edge of my seat. When I saw it was PG, I thought it wouldn't touch on topics it should, but I was pretty much wrong.
]]>Really wanted to watch this when I saw the trailer, then heard how the animation goes bad after episode 1 and wasn't that excited but decided to watch it anyway since it's so short and... it's not good. The animation aside, the stories felt so rushed and uneven. Could've been better if they gave it time, but I get that it had a lot of problems. When people say the first episode is the only one worth watching, I have to say I agree.
]]>I might bump the rating up later, but I found myself comparing it to Mary and Max, which is a masterpiece in my opinion. This has very similar scenes and obviously a similar tone. I was surprised by how it made me laugh some, and I was dreading the ending because I predicted it, but they did it better than I thought they would.
]]>"I liked it. Sure, it was Oscar bait-y and very gimmicky, like most Zemeckis movies are. But I was into it for the most part. Good performances and an interesting way to tell a story. I wish we got more of the Lazy Boy couple because they were so cute, in my opinion."
]]>I really liked Brooklyn and enjoy both of these actors. While they didn't do a bad job, the story was very bland, and the nonlinear storytelling felt unnecessary. It was pretty boring at the start but got a bit better around the end. Still, it didn't do enough for me to say it was good. It's alright, and the performances were good, but it's a pretty forgettable movie.
]]>I appreciate this movie, but man, the dubbing, the characters, and the story I wasn't really feeling. I liked the remake better, but it did have some scary moments and good gory moments. Still, I expected a lot better.
]]>Wasn't feeling it much. Felt like it was repeating itself, but that ending left me speechless.
]]>Watched on Thursday November 14, 2024.
]]>It's bad when Russell Brand isn't the most annoying person in the film. Nicolas Cage's voice was like nails on a chalkboard for me, and even worse, the real guy doesn't sound anything like that, in my opinion. I can't say I was bored, but if you're waiting for a big moment to happen, you're going to be disappointed. Not to mention, most of it was BS, it seems

This is like one of those silly movies you've seen a bunch of times. The nerd nobody likes turns into a popular guy and gets everything he wants, then slowly loses it all again. But the way it's told is interesting and pretty funny at times. I'm still confused by a bit of it, but overall it's fine. Just expect a silly movie with an A24 twist to it.
]]>Might be the best miniseries I've ever seen. Not one moment where I thought they should've done something different. Not one dull episode or character. I wasn't really expecting much because I wasn't a huge fan of The Batman, but boy oh boy did this deliver. I do hope they don't have a second season because this felt too perfect for there to be another season.
]]>I figured it was going to be emotional, but it didn't really get me like others do. I think because it went by too fast. Lots of the time just felt like a montage rather than an actual movie. But I still liked it for the most part.

Can't believe this movie had me feeling bad for Cohn at the end. Please go out and vote if you live in the U.S.. Especially a swing state.
]]>"The story of this was so unique, and the music and the way it was shot felt like a Lifetime movie at times (in a good way), then felt real other times. The performances were all great, but the climax of the film was a bit of a letdown for me. It wasn't bad, but as it was getting more interesting, it felt like the climax was going to be huge. It wasn't, but it didn't need to be. I just felt it should've been better than it was. I still enjoyed it a lot, though."
]]>It's honestly one of the worst marvel projects. Just when it tried to be serious it was hard to seriously with how silly it was and then it tried to be silly and funny and it really wasn't. Didn't really like any of the characters and was expecting more songs then just the one. The performances are fine but it really was pointless and seem like they should've focused more on the teen character instead of Agatha.
]]>I'm in the minority on this, but it wasn't as bad as everyone made it out to be. I had no interest in a Joker sequel, especially when they said Harley Quinn was going to be in it, but then they announced it was a musical, and I had interest because maybe that crazy idea could work. In some ways, I think it could have. But it did not work in this. You can take out all the musical scenes, and you would get a shorter, better movie. A lot of the time, I was just wondering what the point of this movie was and was a bit bored. The love story was rushed, the court scenes were kind of pointless, but by the end, I got it. It still doesn't make it good. I still wasn't hating it; I just was disappointed with the choices it made. To be fair though, I wasn't a big fan of the first one either.
]]>Everything in this wasn't bad or good; it was merely okay. Some of the songs, maybe, were good, but for the most part, just okay. The story, while predictable, wasn't bad. And the characters were fine, I guess. Maybe it would've been better with a bigger budget and better songs.

I guess you can say she's all washed up....
]]>Sometimes I feel like movies with messages like this overdo it, but not this one! I thought it fit perfectly with the story, and it's a shame how much truth there is to it. The directing was nice, and I was very uncomfortable in a lot of scenes. Thank God we’ve made some improvements since the '70s, but we still have a lot of work to do.
]]>It got me crying, so good job with that. It was good, but not as amazing as I hoped. I think part of it was it was too busy setting you up to cry that nothing else was that interesting. It wasn't particularly funny, but I liked the characters. It was solid for a kids' movie but has a shocking amount of death in it.

It's funny how I totally forgot she was a singer until the end. This was a weird storyline, but fascinating. I was looking forward to this movie the first time I heard about it, and I finally got around to seeing it. It's a bit repetitive in parts, but the ending is great! I can see people finding it boring and slow, but I was into it for the most part. Some parts did drag a bit, but I still liked it. Surprised by the low rating on IMDb.
Edit: Never mind about IMDB. I thought it was in the 6s for some reason.
]]>Sorry to say, I did not like this. All the new characters felt pointless, except Jenna Ortega’s character. Lydia felt like a whole new person—I understand she’s a grown woman now, but I expected some signs of the old Lydia. When I saw the ‘villain’ (or whatever she was supposed to be), I was thinking, ‘I bet she’s Tim Burton’s new wife or girlfriend,’ and I was right! Some of it was funny, but most of it had pretty bad dialogue. I did like how it looked for the most part, but the climax was a bit disappointing.

Gotta give credit to Kevin Smith. He tried to do a non-crazy Kevin Smith movie with Jersey Girl, and it failed. Then with Red State, it failed as well, and this almost succeeded. Sure, it has silly moments in it, but it’s not as crude as I thought it was going to be. That beaver movie was dumb, but most of the trailers were good. The little winks to the future were funny at the start, then they got boring, so this movie was pretty… meh. Almost good, but that ending was lame. All that buildup, and that’s the best you can do? And, of course, he had to do something to connect with other movies and himself. Ugh, you almost had me, Kevin Smith.
]]>The two main characters are done right and acted well for the most part, but it feels like all the side characters are in a different movie—like some bad B comedy. It was just weird, and it took me out of the film a lot of times. It would have been a pretty solid, creative horror movie if it weren’t for that, but I still say it’s okay
]]>If you're a hardcore wrestling fan then it isn't much anything new. Sometimes felt more like a WWE doc than a McMahon doc but if you don't know anything about him or the WWE much it might be a solid watch.
]]>In some ways, I wish Will wasn’t there, and it was a non-famous friend, but in other ways, it worked better that way. Some of it felt kind of scripted, but otherwise, it was a nice road trip tale and a look inside of what it’s like being trans. They both seem like wonderful people, and this was a nice watch for the most part. Just no more crying. I don’t know if I can handle any more 😢.
