While I didn't cry (the gas station scene almost got me) I will say I really enjoyed this overall. Andrew Garfield & Florence Pugh are phenomenal in this and just in general are great at acting. Their chemistry is very solid in this. Great script as well I was very invested except I just wish we got to know them a bit more. Tobias was pretty shallow and Almut while a bit more fleshed out really only had 1-2 defining characteristics. Still good characters acted perfectly but where Aftersun hit me like a truck due to the little character moments this didn't. Will say it's quite funny, some really good scenes are played for laughs. It knows when to be funny and when to hit with the hard stuff. Very solid and another great film for 2024. Things have been looking up since August started and I have to say this year has kind of redeemed itself a bit for me. More romance dramas (yall can keep the romcoms though) please!
