The best sequel of all time still and I'm gonna go ahead and say the best scifi film ever as well. On the Rushmore of the genre permantly. Insane how good this film is and it's back at number 5 for me on my top 250 (sorry Fellowship of the Ring gotta put you at 6 again). Just insane how rewatchable this film is and how ballsy it must have been to end this on such a downer. Like the good guys lose in this one and I love that. It makes the eventual win that much sweeter in Return of the Jedi. Yoda is (this one at least, prequels ruin him) one of the best characters in fiction. Soundtrack is incredible with some great new tracks. The effects look amazing. This is also the film that personally I believe has more positive changes than negatives with the new versions of it such as the Emperor looking like we know and love as well as the changes to Cloud City. Every character is built upon and the charisma is at a max especially with Leia and Han. It's also the funniest Star Wars to me. C3po especially is hilarious in this ajd kind of a stand out film for him up until Rise of Skywalker. Its so amazing and slightly beats out the original as my favorite film in the series. Perfect movie should sit at a 5/5 average on letterboxd tbh if the world was full of good people
