The part where the one guy gets batted away while trying to have a heroic sacrifice is one of the funniest moments ive ever seen in a film
Pretty solid monster kaiju flick with great monster designs & effects. I absolutely love all the creature designs in this. Some of the characters are cool too! But others hold the movie back by being way too stereotypically 'Nam soldiers that it makes me roll my eyes. Only a couple wonky effects (mainly helicopter scenes). I quite liked some of the shots in this like Kong standing in front of the sun but those first person shots were awful. Probably one of the few times where my rating will perfectly match the letterboxd average.
