I'm gonna defend this one as I found myself actually liking it a fair amount. I loved the themes of this film and found it very touching in what really matters in life. I think the acting from the main cast is great especially Tom Hanks who is one of my favorites ever. I really liked the gimmick of the one camera angle it reminded me of those 3d rides at universal in how the images movie around you. So much of this I liked but it is very flawed at its core.
Too many storylines. If they cut out the lazy boy story and the airplane guy story and gave more time else where would have worked so much better I think. The nonlinear storytelling would also not be as frustrating if done with less plot lines. I also think the dealing is a step back from some other films like Dial of Destiny and the recent Star Wars films. It's only really bad in a couple scenes though. As the characters get closer to their real age it improves. Lastly some of it is definitely a bit overplayed out and cliched. Still I found myself having a good time and felt this had a little spark of magic to it. Would have been better with some more thought put into it but ima give this one a passing grade of a middle of the road 3/5
