The Last Jedi officially joins the 5 stars club and my favorite films list.
Why now, 7 years and too many rewatches later? Let’s say I had a moment of epiphany: if you find yourself not only rewatching a film usually, but starving to do so, and getting excited and chills all over your body when the title appears or when the most epic moments of the film take place, isn’t it that maybe that is one of your favorite films? Despite what you have been telling yourself for so many years about the film not being perfect? Seems like it is perfect for you, because on what probably was my 10th rewatch, I found new ideas and nuances to the themes and the story of Rian Johnson’s masterpiece. Great way to begin the year. May the force be with us.
