When I was younger, I had been obsessed with going on Wikipedia and reading about random 80s slasher films. After coming across this one, I wanted to check it out the second I finished reading about it. I thought to myself, This sounds like a really cool slasher and actually sounds creepy.
Is Final Exam a good film? Not necessarily. Is it entertaining? You're damn right, it is.
I really enjoyed this film. To be completely honest, I'd say this is a guilty pleasure kind of film for me.
I thought the acting in this film was actually really well-done, especially for the kind of film and the time it was filmed. Normally, slasher films, especially ones in the 80s, have this kind of B-movie feel to it. But not this one. Sure, it feels that way in a few scenes, but for the most part the acting is solid and believable.
