Are you feeling depressed? Introspective? Questioning your place in the world? Tired of being expected to be everything for everyone all the time at the expense of your own sanity? Well, do I have just the movie for you!!! So you know when people say CINEMA IS BACK!! They are actually talking about Barbie! I have never had this much fun in a movie theater in my entire life. Greta managed to nourish my inner child and heal my 31 year old self in the span of its 2 hour runtime. Wasn’t expecting to fully sob all the way home but here we are!!! Isn’t being a human fun!!!!!!!!!!! If you pay really close attention, you can see many old Hollywood films’ influence over Greta’s immaculate set design. Everything may be plastic, but this is probably the most human movie I’ve seen in a long time. I am Kenough 🩷
