Merry Christmas Letterboxd! 🎄❤️😇🙏
This year I finally managed to get a long overdue rewatch in! One day before Christmas Eve, just perfect!
I had to giggle a little when George is running down the street at the end, shouting Merry Christmas to everyone, because I thought of Tony Soprano watching that scene and grumpily remarking oh Jesus. enough already.
Anyway, this hit all the right feels. Sure, a few groans from my side were in there too, but I don't know if that's necessarily a bad thing, it was just a little overwhelming sometimes and so so so different from the society we live in these days, how people behave and relate, carry themselves and so on.
With this re-watch and the recent discovery of "Meet John Doe", Capra rose up enormously in my personal estimation. Looking forward to get more acquainted with his work.
