If you’d asked me this morning what my favorite Christmas movie was, I would’ve said gremlins. Hands down. But I just watched it’s a wonderful life for the first time and I’m blown away. I knew it would be good, but I didn’t expect such and emotionally powerful and well crafted picture of compassion and warmth. It’s easy to see why this has stood the test of time and set itself apart from other Christmas movies, and been referenced and spoofed a gazillion times.
Truly a Christmas masterpiece.
