This movie is so comfort and so painful to levels I can’t even explain, but for me this is one of the “good” pains cause in the end Mia and Seb fulfilled their dreams and as much as it can hurt maybe we have to accept some people that we love too much at some point of our lives are just with us for a limited amount of time… and they’re there to help us become the person we want to become, some relationships may not be meant to last forever because there are so many circumstances in life that might break them apart but at the end of the day what matters the most is what we took out of those relationships, and if it was good for us and for the other person then that’s enough to make it worth it.

In the last conversation Mia and Seb have in the movie when they’re accepting that their relationship might never be the same because of everything going on in their life, Mia says: “I'm always gonna love you” and Seb answers: “I'm always gonna love you too” showing us that there’ll always be a part of them in one another, even if their paths never cross again.

And then we get that ’what if’ sequence in the final where we see how their life could have been if they had taken different decisions, in this scenario they shared a life together but didn’t fulfill their dreams as they did in the actual movie… maybe they were equally happy in both scenarios but what shows how important their relationship was in their life is that the happiness in both scenarios was always thanks to one another, even if they were together or not.

And as hozier said once: “If there was anyone to ever get through this life with their heart still intact, they didn't do it right”
