With Killers of the Flower Moon, Scorsese has crafted another epic - with the support of Eric Roth and Thelma Schoonmaker - that moves like a breeze. It may not be a late career tour de force, but it blends the talents of his veteran regulars DiCaprio and De Niro with Lily Gladstone, now a household name.
It will take me a while to come to a definite conclusion on how well I feel the film works, but with that almost Brechtian ending - it joins a line of recent films engaging with our contemporary preoccupation towards how to challenge and accept the violence of modern history.
