Today we lost our 18 year old dog, our beloved Penny. She was with us from our first apartment to our first home to the birth of our child to her graduation from elementary school. Penny has seen a lot to say the least. And boy did she see a lot of movies. Every night when I’d sit down in the living room to watch a movie, she’d be right there. Either sitting on the couch next to me, on the floor near me or in the solo chair across from me. Like she was for so many things in our life she was there. And now she won’t be. It’s tough to think about, let alone say outloud. We will never be able to replace that Penny sized hole in our hearts but we can make sure she is remembered and treasured in our thoughts. Thanks for being such a good pup all these years, we will miss you dearly.
Hug your pets a little tighter tonight for me, each moment is worth it’s weight in gold in retrospect.
