You know when you wake up in the middle of the night with your back facing your bedroom door and you SWEAR there’s someone standing there but you’re too afraid to look?
That’s the vibe of this.
Wide open shot in dark room saying there must be something creeping in the night, but as your eyes adjust you realise there was no one there.
While this movie doesn’t capture that vibe as well as his previous films or like a Mike Flanagan joint. It still so my jam
Maybe it’s a bit too silly but if you can watch a Batman movie where the villain is a riddle enthusiast or a killer clown and be ok with that, then you will find something to love here.
Nic Cage is silly but so is Heath Ledger or Paul Dano. Both creepers in their own right.
