I don’t know if it is the mind-melting cinematography, the production marvels that are the practical sets, vehicles, and stunts, or the mesmerizing unpredictability of this story and this dystopian world, but “Mad Max: Fury Road” is one of only several movie experiences I have had in my life where I could go years without rewatching and perfectly recall the entire film from start to finish, based simply off of how extraordinarily strange the whole thing was the very first time I gave it a chance.
“Mad Max: Fury Road”, by the way, from the guy who brought you tap dancing penguins and Babe the pig.
