I was very much looking forward to watching this movie solely for it’s plot and also it featuring Alia Bhatt made my expectations even more high now and that poster reveal and the teaser trailer completely sold me on this movie, sadly i missed the theatrical experience for this one which would’ve amplified my cinema experience. Even tho i watched it at home it was still a delightful experience. Vasan Bala’s amazing direction and cinematography really hooked me completely and immersed me into the beautiful sister-brother bond that was so special.

Alia Bhatt showcasing her acting masterclass in this one, it’s an impactful portrayal of a character Satya who’s hell bent on saving her brother Ankur who’s been wrongfully accused of a crime that he has not committed. Her trying to save her brother almost felt like poetic justice. The sister-brother bond is shown in a such a unique and beautiful manner that the jail break plot takes a backseat for this and at first i thought this would definitely hamper my experience a lot as that was the main reason or one of the reason for the my excitement but it didn’t hamper it at all and i'm glad as the emotions they were going were hitting all the right spots. The cinematography is so beautiful and the colour pallet is very vibrant and beautiful. Those night shots are well articulated and executed perfectly. I feel like Vasan Bala has many pop culture references hidden in this movie and being able to notice them was a fun experience. For example:- Satya standing on the balcony with her hands held behind her back minus the gun which reminded me of Sarfarosh movie poster. The director namedrop was dope as hell and i'm glad i caught that little detail too. The songs in it are too good, chef's kiss—“Tenu Sang Rakhna” and “Phoolon Ka Taaro Ka” are bangers and every time they play these two it elevates the scene so much. Music truly acts as a catalyst to add more emotion to the scene. However, the movie does slow down in the second half and things don’t really feel important until we get to the 3rd act which is meh tbh, they should’ve went with more of a bang but overall, it’s still very good and almost everyone plays there part with 100% dedication.

I’m wrong. I never claimed to be ethical. What I am is Ankur’s sister.
