It takes its time setting up several different time periods and individuals, but what it builds to is a sensational climax putting everything into perspective. Very few movies floor me by the end the way this one did, and I can say this has to be a seminal film of the 21st Century so far. Much of the film is giving context to the legal side of the A-bomb, the scientific research or better yet conflicts between the government and scientists. Nolan showcases some of his most mannered and astute direction, as he places the camera on humanity’s most vulnerable moments as well as it’s greatest achievements, which is then left up for the audience to decide what was right and what was not. This is a monumental film in every single way, and I cannot wait for more people to experience this. See it! See it in IMAX!!!
