It's a Wonderful Life

"Strange, isn't it? Each man's life touches so many other lives. When he isn't around he leaves an awful hole, doesn't he?"-Clarence

It's a Wonderful Life is the most gratifying, most captivating, and most unparalleled Christmas film I've seen. Only other movie that comes close to this is A Christmas Story.

So many aspects in this film gratified my soul. From the luring storyline and engaging sequence of events to lovable characters.

One aspect that stood out for me was how realistic the diologue and performances were. It really seemd like these people had genuine conversations. Each person acted like a real person, with their own little quirks and stutters when they talked. That's how you immerse the crowd.

There's so many aspects in this film I absolutely loved I can't decide where to start.
The characters for one were the most lovable and realistic characters I've seen in a long while. It was so cool to see each and everyone of these people have a role in the community. There's so many side characters introduced that have an important part in the community and for the end of the movie. Every character served a purpose in some way which was neat.

The messages were what brought this film meaning, extra emotion, and a satisfying end. The message of each and every person has touched someone's life positively, if you were gone, imagine how many peoples lives would've been drastically changed for the worst. Every human being serves a purpose.

Another topic I want to touch on is how inspiring it was to see a traditional marriage with a solid foundation. Definitely not common in modern cinema. The wife was supportive, nurturing, loving, gentle, and feminine. The husband was a leader, provider, protector. Modern cinema does not show these precious traditional roles for a marriage. These roles are so very important. Important for a healthy godly marriage and important for the livelihood for the children. It was also nice to see some religious themes. Most likely Catholic, but that was cool to see nonetheless.

A personal point I love about this film is this guy named Potter is slowly buying the whole town. His character reminds me of this one guy in our town who buys every avaliable building he can and makes them into small businesses. Sounds great, but he seems like Potter. He wants Power and money (that's what I'm assuming this guy wants). That's why we call the guy Potter all year round. It's possible he's a good decent fellow, but I like my first assumption more haha.

Overall, a pure masterpiece I will continue to watch every Christmas season.
Thanks for reading, stay safe.
