New standard for animation and just a wonderful feat of storytelling in general. Disney’s eternal flame has completely been extinguished. It flows through themes like candy and never feels overweight. Motherhood, friendship, perseverance, courage, the power of technology and its ability to wreak total havoc on the environment… You would have to be a ~robot~ to not be swept away by the score and music: two favorites of mine for the year. Bursts of color and heart warm the soul. Wanted to avoid 3D knowing I’d sob with those glasses on. But no need to fear- no fogging! Immediately wanted to rewatch. I love you, Mom. ❤️
