This is a beautifully crafted film. It is brutal and heartbreaking. Steve McQueen put together a truly significant film.
Chiwetel Ejiofor is astonishing. You feel every ounce of pain that he does throughout the film. Michael Fassbender and Sarah Paulson show through as pure evil and brutality. They are extremely convincing in their roles, I may need a break from them before watching anoth performance of theirs. That’s how believable they are.
The final lashing scene is one of the most intense scenes you will ever see in a film. It really signifies the brutality of slavery. This is certainly an important film that everyone should see.
