You can talk about Elf, the Grinch, and Home Alone all you want but they will never come close to It’s A Wonderful Life. This has got to be one of the best most iconic films ever put on screens. Besides A Taste of Cherry, I don’t think there has ever been a more anti suicide movie ever made. This movie has such a beautiful message at the core. I was BALLING at the end. This has got to be towards the top of the list of movies that make people cry. It’s a universal thing. This movie makes my whole family cry. This time it was just my mom and I. As I’ve gotten older I’ve seen the evil men that are the Mr. Potters of the world. It’s scary to think people as heartless really exist out there. It’s equally heartwarming to know that there are more George Baileys than Mr. Potters. James Steward gives the performance of a fucking lifetime. This dude is up there with Santa Claus as an iconic Christmas figure. George Bailey running down the snowy street yelling Merry Christmas is as Christmasy as it gets. 77 years later and It’s A Wonderful Life is still as incredible as ever.
