Reel Hooper Knowledge’s review published on Letterboxd:
so took some time to think about everything about this film and man, mostly everything works in this film. just a straight up beautiful film! animation is STELLAR! just beautiful things popping on screen. and they show so much emotion with Roz, with just her eyes alone. everyone killed it performance wise. props to all the animators, they killed it. props to the writers, they killed it, ESPECIALLY with the dark humor and they nearly got me about to tear up, damn.
the one thing i believe is holding it back for me is the pacing, especially early on, i wished we spent more time with brightbill as a kid. and some dialogue can be cliche, but it was done really well.
but other than that, this is just PEAK ANIMATION! I ADORE IT!
