Ellen dozed immediately during this one but she woke up like 30 minutes in (her ability to sleep anywhere is truly inspiring) so she saved herself from the sleeping tag.
This was fine, good atmosphere, love the creepiness, shame that the story is just soooo half-baked, all these interesting threats and plot-lines introduced in the first part just go absolutely nowhere and mean nothing by the end.
Nic cage was great, however some of the performances were just so bad (the boss lady fbi agent is the most flat actor i have ever seen in my life)
Pretty disappointed, the premise and description hooked me but man, there’s no intrigue, no decoding the mystery, no “a-ha” moment, it chugs along (the pacing is great, in fact i wish this movie was longer because maybe we could’ve dived deeper into the interesting parts of the movie) until the end.
Definitely one i could watch again and perhaps flip on, but yeah, this didn’t do it for me sadly.
