A beautiful young witch sets out to find a new love, following the death of her husband. Utilising a range of spells and potions, she seduces a string of men - driving her to obsession, murder and insanity.
A slick, dark and stylish comedy / horror. Bathed in dreamy Technicolor hues, and boasting a striking performance from Samantha Robinson in the titular role. 'The Love Witch' serves as an acute homage to 1960's camp, while presenting ideas on feminism, gender roles, and the power of sexuality. Writer / Director Biller intelligently packs the film with thoughtful tropes (including suitably stiff performances, boobs, lavish production design, etc.) and wit.
