If you’ve been online you’ve probably heard tons of praise towards this movie, it may even have heightened expectations. I would encourage you to go in open minded and without expectations.
That being said holy fuck what a great movie! The atmosphere set from the very first second really got me, the movie takes twists and turns and avoids treading well-worn cliches but also manages to really lean into the genre too. Cage is undoubtedly the best piece of this movie but the whole cast really holds it up. There manages to be a few laughs but mostly anxiety as the movie really just keeps you on edge.
A couple slow scenes and a couple wooden line deliveries present but overall an excellent time
