The Nun II is relentlessly boring, unnecessary, and has predictable scares. I never once found the investigation here enticing nor did this film ever hook me once. This film finds a way to make a 110 minute runtime feel atleast three hours long as I was eagerly anticipating the end of this one. The film does have solid cinematography & score as well and there is some creepy imagery but that’s really about all the positives I have. This film failed to engage me entirely as I can’t tell you how many times I thought to myself “I don’t care.” The scares here and this film as a whole felt so formulaic and stale like there wasn’t real effort put forth here. These “Conjuring” films just follow a formula at this point and feel like hollow cash grabs with this one being just as forgettable as the other bottom of the barrel movies in this universe. There’s really nothing to recommend here and it’s far past due for this franchise to die. I’m giving The Nun II a 16% 🚫.
