Burn After Reading

Burn After Reading

There's a dialogue in this film, "Jesus what a clusterfuck" which I was thinking while watching this film. The king of absurd comedies Coen brothers brings their A-game once again with this very strange tight gripping situational thriller comedy and in somewhat making a mockery of spy thriller genre with the perfect casting. Everybody has already pointed out Brad Pitt's acting in this film and he deserves all the accolades for this film for playing a goofy gym trainer with a charming personality, and same for George Clooney, John Malkovich and absolutely insane performance from Frances Mcdormund.. I can't even imagine what she must be going through when her husband must have pitched this film to her just because the way the writing made fun of her.... Even just for 2 scenes JK Simmons killed it with this role and he was exactly us the audience who doesn't know what the fuck is happening here. The range of Coen brothers filmography is very commendable and sometimes I don't think the film lovers gives them enough recognition for their work... So today I'm a bit sick and decided to watch this film and some of the scenes are so hilarious I had to literally stop because it was giving me headache. This is truly Shakespearean comedy at its best.. Brilliant use of editing and oh my god such brilliant use of music which I can simply notice took inspiration from the 007 and MI franchise and it works so well here... Can't imagine Coen brothers came up with this film after No country for old men, two completely different situational comedy but both masterpiece hands down. If you guys haven't watch this film, if you are into dry situational comedy this isn't gonna disappoint you.

Btw can we get more movies with Frances and Brad Pitt, such a badass partners in crime. 😎
