what do we want from life? why do we do the things we do? wanted to love this cuz KILLS kinda rips (like a mumblegore friday the 13th) but nah, dont care about laurie/myers at all tho i did enjoy her will patton romance (and her grandkid's - maybe dave ghetty-green should just make hallmark movies like fred olen ray) & of course i cant get enough corey! -the hour thats just him nauseously seething, bullied by tromaville teens, flying around on a busted 70s kawasaki, his first kill under the golden arches, its all great, but the haters tricked me into thinking itd be more of the movie instead of less than half of a confusing insult with a stupid, miserable ending. green & mcbride stumble on promising ideas like a local radio station seen in every other wannabe-fog/tcm2 shudder-filler & do even less with it here (no lords of salem) shakily trying to smuggle minor slangual touches of punk/art/humanity into universal's force-awakens gruel, but studios only let you make a movie with local hangouts & character actors if it props up a billion dollar franchise. will we ever see a real one again? sad to report grandma laurie strode would prob really be this embarrassing & corny, like the ghost world tpb strip where 30something enid's saying "homeskillet" & asking becky if shes seen juno. is it an on-purpose joke that laurie's this lame after "therapy and sobering up" or just how jlc showed up, kenny powers too scared to laugh? "michael myers was the personification of evil..." ok. wish i switched it off when corey got got but its worth it for him.
