You need a phd in Marvel to understand wtf happening here besides the most basic comprehension. That includes the shows. These are no longer for film-lovers, they are for MCU-scholars-only. And even with the basic comprehension of "this character wants this and our heroes must stop it" the filmmaking is stale at a time when adventurous and daring is needed.
Everyone I know who watches all of the marvel properties does it with a disgruntled demeanor, sounding like I did after season 6 of The Walking Dead. You're just going through the motions out of familiarity and habit. Yet as this franchise continues to lose more viewers, the exclusivity in the plots becomes greater and greater. Yet we still get inundated with thinkpieces wondering why the last film failed. As if it's anything besides Kevin Feige is in a nerd-bubble and can't relate to anyone outside of it.
