Favorite movie of the year. M Night Shyamalan does it again delivering an amazing film that everyone should witness in theaters.
The setting of the concert almost adds a sense of publicity, the humiliation and embarrassment and tension watching Cooper do everything he can to stay silent and not get caught. Cooper is methodical, organized, neat, and psychotic. Cooper is one of the best protagonists of 2024 so far because of this. Cooper has a switch, a psychotic one, and a family one, he uses his family to gain sympathy, don’t get me wrong he loves them, but can play them like chess easy. He thinks of people as pawns, toys in a game that have to be in certain places other wise his plan won’t work, he is calculated in everything he does and everything he does is with the utmost precision. He is a smart cold blooded killer. Which is why I love him so much. The way he can manipulate situations left me in awe and Josh Hartnett did amazing as Cooper.
Everyone else is amazing Lady Raven, and Cooper’s wife especially. The betrayal and mistrust in Cooper’s wife’s eyes near the end, bravo. As well as Cooper’s unbridled rage and anger in his eyes at the end, willing to unleash his inner demons to someone he used to care about. The rage in Cooper’s eyes as he watches his whole life crumble apart in front of his eyes.
The cinematography is very M Night like, very wide shots sometimes and very close ones next, adds such a uniqueness to his films which I adore. Also this movie needed a LOT more Kid Cudi. Also would add some Lady Raven songs to the playlist, she had some bangers fr.
