I wish Nosferatu was more scary rather than just creepy and ugly. I was happy that girl died with him she was annoying, the whole thing was her fault anyway.

I liked it, but they made the older characters very annoying. The animation was extremely weird when they smiled. Made them look like they were 50, and I watched the dub and the guy’s voice omg. Why did he have the most obnoxious British accent? So weird. I think i would’ve liked it a bit more if I watched the sub instead.
The older characters were just too unlikeable and makes you kinda feel like she grew up to just be a depressed loser who doesn’t stop thinking about her past honestly which is a pity. Even without that, the farmer music was just odd imo and there were some scenes like the drive in the car at the start that dragged on for me.
The child character was great and saved the hell out of this. She was very funny in traditional Ghibli fashion so that helped a lot. It had some very well done scenes like the pineapple, her dad hitting her, the play and the kid not wanting to shake her hand.
But seriously she just wanted somebody to care if she didn’t go to dinner with them but they didn’t and her dad slaps her for not having shoes on? And then it cuts back to real time and that girl says “wow i wouldn’t have taken you for a spoiled kid.” what the hell did she even do wrong? I feel bad for the kid. Some of the memories were very relatable, especially the period ones fr lol.
I have never had such mixed feelings about a movie. I think it’s an excellent story and I love the idea behind it but it was not executed perfectly for me.

Feels like a mix between Dune, Fantastic Planet and Attack on Titan with basically the rumbling happening at the end.
Anyone else notice the similarities between Malenia in Elden Ring and Kushana from this movie? They look the exact same come on like the arm and all. And both creators names are Miyazaki. This is too much.
Really really cool movie. Visually stunning, the world looks absolutely amazing in this. I want to live in that place under the toxic jungle. Great story, only thing was there was a lot of scenes of like her ass out..i’m just gonna pretend like that didn’t happen but yeah. Also lacking a tiny bit in depth of the characters making them not as memorable but it still manages to make them, especially the princess, very likeable.
A great ode to pacifism when all else seems lost.

⬆️Get it. Manga. I’m so funny.
This is heartbreaking, the scene where she tells her that she is going to art school is amazing and devestating at the same time.
I don’t think I would be able to keep drawing at the end like she did if that happened to me. I wish just once Fujino told Kyomoto that her drawings were really good then maybe she wouldn’t feel the need to go to art school.
The only thing is…I feel that this idea of creating something beautiful then taking it away at the end, just to play a montage of the happy times (especially with sad music in the finale) is a bit of a common trope. It’s common because it works and it does tug on your heartstrings so some may say it’s unoriginal.
HOWEVER, this movie doesn’t rely on it. It was great the whole way through, animation and story wise so the ending works and isn’t just used as a cop out.

Insane, the last hour felt like it was 2 minutes long. I just love movies about movies.

I love Al the chino.
Great movie. Started perfectly wasting no time and ended amazingly. Al Pacino was so good and it was a very interesting true story.
However as it went on it became slightly drawn out, felt like there were some irrelevant scenes with not much going on where they could have done some more character building for Sal.
Nevertheless, I was interested the whole way through and wasn’t disappointed.
Also, that Sal actor is scary looking omg.
